Woman killed in deadly stabbing inside California Walmart

A woman was fatally stabbed inside a Southern California Walmart Monday morning.
The stabbing reportedly occurred around 7:00 a.m. when Riverside County sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a Walmart located in the city of Lake Elsinore, responding to reports of an assault with a deadly weapon.
According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office, witnesses reported that a male suspect attacked a woman in the store. Deputies rendered medical aid to the victim, who nonetheless died at the scene.
The suspect was taken into custody.
The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office did not offer any further information on the incident and said that an investigation was ongoing.
